OpenSuSe 11.3 mic problem solution for Dell 1545 Inspiron

Hi Guys,

          I have just installed OpenSUSE 11.3 on my Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop.

But was having an issue with the mic not working with the my Laptop.

For GNOME

So following are the simple steps to follow to get it working.



1. Go to the Computer -> Control Center -> Sound

Sound Preferences window gets opened and then select the input tab from that.

2. Just check the Connector label it has got 4 select menus to it s right.

By default its the microphone 1 / microphone just make that microphone 2 /microphone and check whether it s working or not.

You need Pulse Audio package installed.

Just type sudo zypper in pulseaudio on terminal to get it installed.
